Sesame oil has the effect of lowering cholesterol and blood pressure

A total of 40 patients with both diabetes and high blood pressure were recruited in the study, and they all took medications that control blood pressure. The researchers asked the 40 participants to suspend the oil used in the home cooking and replace it with sesame oil for a period of 45 days. After the end of 45 days, immediately switch to palm oil or peanut oil for 45 days.

The results showed that when these patients used sesame oil for cooking, their blood pressure systolic and diastolic blood pressure decreased significantly, but when switched to palm oil or peanut oil, systolic and diastolic blood pressure increased again.

In addition, the study also observed that during the consumption of sesame oil, these patients have a tendency to decrease in body weight, body mass index (BMI, waist mass index) or waist and hip circumference, even blood sugar, triglycerides and common name. Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) with bad cholesterol has different degrees of reduction.

As for this, it is because sesame oil contains a large amount of monounsaturated fatty acids and polyunsaturated fatty acids, which have been confirmed to lower cholesterol and blood pressure and improve heart health.

It is worth reminding that although sesame oil is good for cardiovascular, it is not suitable for overdose, so as not to invert the original and harm the health.
