According to reports, volunteers participating in the study ranged in age from 18 to 55 years without serious health problems. They are divided into three groups and they are given a specific diet every day. The first group drank yoghurt containing probiotics twice a day for four weeks, the second group for yogurt without probiotics, and the third group for yoghurt.
According to the results of nuclear magnetic resonance, the first group of probiotics ingested, the brainstem and the cerebral cortex area formed a clear interrelationship, these areas in charge of cognitive activities such as human feelings and emotions.
