The researchers asked participants to take a drinking test in two situations after exercise, one when they were very thirsty and the other when they were asked to drink too much water. The results showed that the brain swallowing mechanism workload increased three-fold after excessive drinking. But scans show that when the participants drink too much water, the prefrontal area of ​​the brain is more active than usual. Researchers believe that when the frontal area is involved in transcending the swallowing mechanism, people can achieve drinking. Dr. Farrell said that it is important to note that older people usually do not have enough water and should observe the fluids they consume.
