What do patients with gallstones eat?

Modern people advocate diet and health care. Everyone should have some taboos in their daily diet. For those who are already sick, they should pay more attention to diet. Do you know what dietary taboos are available for patients with gallstones?

Sun Jian, deputy director of the Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, said that patients with gallstones must pay attention to the following four dietary contraindications.

1.Avoid eating high cholesterol foods

Because if you eat high-cholesterol foods (such as animal offal, fried food, egg yolk, etc.), it is easy to form gallstones. If you already have gallstones, you should not eat such high-cholesterol foods. If patients with gallstones often eat these high-cholesterol foods, it will cause a large amount of bile secretion in the liver, which can easily lead to cholecystitis.

2.Avoid spicy food

When we eat very spicy foods, we often feel a burning sensation in the stomach. This is because spicy foods can stimulate gastric acid secretion, and excessive stomach acid will in turn stimulate the gallbladder, causing strong contraction of the gallbladder, which is also likely to cause cholecystitis.

3.Avoid alcohol and tobacco

We all know that tobacco and alcohol are not good for health. For patients with gallstones, the stimulation of alcohol and tobacco may also induce cholecystitis.

4.Avoid overeating

Patients with gallstones must pay attention, do not overeating, because overeating can easily cause severe gallbladder contraction, causing stone incarceration and cholecystitis.

People eat food for the day, and daily diet is related to our health. Patients with gallstones must bear in mind the previous dietary taboos.
